Harbour Road, Dalkey
Brilliant cooperation between Kavanagh Crane Hire Ltd, Glenbeigh Construction and the Mantis Crane team contributed to the swift and efficient erection of the newest addition to the Mantis Cranes fleet in Dublin. The Sáez TLS65B 10T tower crane was erected on the Winterbrook site at Harbour Road, Dalkey at the beginning of September. Even the weather obliged with sunshine and stunning blue skies. This provided the perfect backdrop for filming the Mantis Cranes corporate video. Watch out on the Mantis Cranes website for the completed video.
Sáez TLS65B 10T
The newest edition to the Mantis Cranes fleet is the Sáez TLS65B 10T Tower Crane that has a maximum range of 65m and maximum lifting capacity of 10,000 kg.
This version of the TLS65B has been structurally reinforced to achieve a higher load capacity. At the maximum radius of 65m, in 2 falls, it is able to hoist up to 2,200 kg. In 4 falls, the maximum overall hoist is 10,000 kg with 1,850 kg at maximum radius.
Winterbrook
Winterbrook are the property developers for the Charville, Harbour Road development set in the picturesque and exclusive village of Dalkey, near Dun Laoghaire in South Dublin. The 1- and 2-bedroom apartments, designed by Henry J Lyons Architects, are bright and spacious and take advantage of their costal location. The living rooms have been designed to enhance the connection to the outside with large bay or corner windows. Balconies offer a sense of openness to the air and offer a vista to the biodiverse landscaped gardens below.
Glenbeigh Construction
Glenbeigh Construction were awarded the contract for the Harbour Road development, due to their excellent track record in delivering residential type projects to a high standard of quality. This development presented challenges due to the narrow access roads and site restrictions designed to remain sensitive to the needs of the nearby school and church.
Glenbeigh Construction selected Mantis Cranes as the provider of tower cranes for this site. The excellent partnership between the two teams contributed to the swift and successful erection of the crane. The crane will remain on site for the duration of the build which is expected to take 12 months. Mantis Cranes look forward to working with Glenbeigh Construction on many future projects.
