In 2024, Mantis Cranes proudly marked 25 years in business. From a humble beginning in 1999 we have grown into one of the leading providers of Tower Cranes and Lifting Solutions, serving customers across the UK and Ireland.
During 2024, we took the opportunity to thank all our customers, suppliers, and staff for their loyal support over the past 25 years with a collection of articles and competitions, celebrating the progress of Mantis Cranes. Looking back to 1999, when Mantis introduced the first self-erecting tower crane to Ireland, we followed the company’s expansion into the UK market, and the addition of larger capacity self-erectors and tower cranes.
Advancements in crane capabilities in response to changing customer requirements have resulted in a very different landscape for the crane hire industry over the past 25 years. Today our customers look for greater capacity, improved efficiency, and reduced environmental impact. Mantis has responded to customer demands with innovative technologies and engineering solutions.
Looking to the future, ongoing collaboration between crane manufacturers, rental companies, and customers will see further advancements in the lifting solutions market while within Mantis, a new generation of the McMenamin family has stepped up to lead the company. What changes will take place in the next 25 years can only be imagined, but undoubtedly, they will shape the future in ways we cannot fully foresee.
In November 2024, we concluded our year-long celebrations by hosting a Gala Event, bringing together Mantis Cranes staff, past and present, and their partners for an evening of reminiscing, appreciation, and looking forward to the future.
