Cranfield University

Mantis Cranes were the sole provider of Tower Cranes to Watkin Jones on their Cranfield University site. Two new Saez TLS70 12T tower cranes were purchased by Mantis Cranes for this project. The Saez TLS 70 12T City Tower Crane has a maximum reach of 70m and max lifting capacity of 12T.

The project at Cranfield University involved constructing seven blocks of student accommodation within the University campus and when finished, will provide over 800 beds.

Carey Jones Chapman Tolcher (CJCT) Architects designed the student accommodation and they said that this development was a big step towards implementing Cranfield’s vision for their future campus. The buildings were all faced in complementary brick cladding and featured landscaped courtyards that complemented the scenic surroundings of the university campus.
