Our engineering team are due to dismantle a Self Erecting Tower Crane in Swansea this week.

The crane has been operating on the site of the Urban Quarter development in the city. The construction project included the demotion of an existing hotel and the construction of 57 apartments and three rental units in its place.

The Pedestrian Operated Tower Crane is a Potain T85A Self Erecting Crane. It has a 45m jib and can provide a height under hook of 35m at the jib end. At full tower height there is a possible maximum lifting capacity of 1,250kg at the end of the jib and 6,000kg from the tower out to 12.7m. The Potain T85A is the largest Self Erecting Tower Crane available on the Mantis Cranes fleet.
