One of our Sales Team visited our Self Erecting Tower Crane at the Village Urban Hotel, Portsmouth and captured an image of it in action on the project.
The Pedestrian Operated Tower Crane, a Potain HDT80, has been on site since the end of 2016 and will be in place for a total agreed crane hire period of approximately 19 weeks. This is one of the most popular Tower Cranes on our fleet. The Potain HDT80 has a 45m jib, provides a 34.2m Height Under Hook and a maximum lift of 1.25kg at the end of the job.

This 153 bedroom hotel, located next to the Porsche Centre, features associated offices, meeting rooms, conference hall, kitchen, restaurant and bar. There is also a leisure centre including a swimming pool, sauna, steam room and Jacuzzi. Additional elements include a Starbucks outlet, public house, gymnasium, studios, staff canteen and launderette.

The Potain HDT80 is one of the largest models on our fleet of Tower Cranes. It occupies 4.5m x 4.5m footprint with a 3.3m slew radius and comes with two rope options as standard, two-fall and four-fall. Multiple mast heights and jib lengths are possible with this model and there is an optional self-ballasting derricking arm. it will be controlled by a qualified crane operator using a radio remote.
