Stewart Milne construction site in Aberdeen posed a problem for material handling.
The ‘C’ shaped cluster of buildings with limited access within an existing residential area whose building footprint restricted access to the rear of the site meant that traditional methods of material handling were not an option.
The Mantis TC25 proved to be the solution. Standing at the centre of the”C” it can service the entire site and leave adequate room for unloading of trucks within the confines of the compound. There are no problems with vehicle movements on site and the surrounding roads are virtually unimpeded by the contruction materials being delivered. Savings were also acheived due to the reduced cost of site reinstatement as the site did not have vehicular movement and program was improved.
In the words of the site manager “the ideal tool”.
