Mantis Cranes & Access was in attendance at Vertikal Days 2016 at Haydock Park on June 15 and 16.
The Mantis Access Comet 21-2-9 on a Yanmar C50R-3B, a 21m lift on a 5 tonne tracked carrier was on display, having recently been delivered to specialised vehicle hire company 2Rent.

The machine features a demountable option, boxed deck carrier and anti-collision limiting devices. Low pressure hydraulic controls allow for accurate positioning and the platform is powered by an independent hydraulic system which eliminates oil contamination from the carrier. There are other features including an electronic basket load limiter and a mechanical outreach limit.
The new machine went straight to work for 2Rent, initially being deployed on a project to service a 132kv trident over line contract in Scotland.
Mantis Cranes were also promoting a crane refurbishment service (see below) which generated a lot of interest.
