
This project consisted of a complete external strip and re-clad of a 100 year old building which was located in the idyllic setting of Edernish Islands.
This will ensure the building continues to stand the test of time and elements. Logistically it was a very challenging project for the main contractor.
The ideal Self Erecting Tower Crane for the project is the Mantis TC-25 which was designed and built in house by Mantis Cranes Ltd.
The advantage of using the TC-25 is that it is a fully self contained compact unit with permanent ballast, on board generator and hydraulic outriggers. The crane was transported to the Island by a small landing craft type ferry and a temporary access road was built to get the crane into position.
